Protestant town church

Reconstruction from 1843 to 1846

The Simultankirche (shared church) was rebuilt between 1843 and 1846 following the last major city fire of 1839, incorporating the Gothic east choir and the remaining foundation walls. At the time, the tower still had a spire roof. A comprehensive renovation in the Neo-Romanesque style took place in 1888–1890. In 1928, the Simultaneum was dissolved, and the shared church became the Protestant parish church.
